The local currency in Armenia is the Armenian Dram (AMD). While you can use credit and debit cards (particularly Visa and Mastercard) in hotels, larger restaurants, and shops in Yerevan, it’s advisable to carry cash for smaller businesses and in rural areas, where card payments are less common.
Citizens of the UK, EU countries, the US, Canada, and Australia can visit visa-free for short stays (typically up to 180 days within a year). Travellers from some other countries may need to apply for an e-visa online before arrival.
No vaccinations are compulsory for entry into Armenia, and you do not need a health certificate on arrival.
