BPIA and NECSA have concluded a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a Pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing cluster which will foster partnerships with SA pharma companies in key strategic areas, including herbal API’s, from Ghana pharma and research.
By harmonising the regulatory regimes of SA and Ghana registration of much needed medicines and medical devices will be fast tracked.
The exchange of technology and R&D via local universities and research institutions will enhance capabilities.
Control of illicit trade in counterfeit Pharmaceutical and medical device products can be enhanced.
NECSA's mission and 10 year timeline include the establishment of a pharmaceutical cluster focussed on local production of API’s and pharmaceutical formulations which will greatly benefit our pharmaceutical industry.
