4 Day Corporate Team Building Getaway to Riga, Latvia

Baltic Tours & Events hosted an exciting 4 night team-building getaway in the vibrant city of Riga in September 2023. The client was an independent consulting company in France with 95 participants flying in from various cities across France and Germany.

Day 1: Meetings & Medieval Dinner

The team was warmly welcomed with private transfers to the 4-star Radisson BLU Hotel Latvija. Afternoon meetings were held in the four hotel conference halls.

Dinner was an immersive experience at the medieval restaurant Rozengrals. Amidst candlelight and period music, the authentic ambience of the Middle Ages was brought to life. The night concluded with cocktails at the Skyline bar, offering panoramic views over Riga city centre.

Day 2: More Meetings & Sophisticated Dining

Morning meetings included coffee breaks and lunch. In the evening, the group embarked on a private transfer to “Stalin’s Tower” viewing platform for sparkling wine and caviar at sunset. This was followed by a gourmet dinner at Kalku Varti, a celebrated fine dining restaurant in Riga. Then off to a nightclub for music and dancing.

Day 3: Outdoor Summer Adventures

A change of scenery awaited as the group headed to Jurmala, the summer capital of Latvia, for an action-packed day of outdoor activities. Everyone took part in the Olympic Beach Games which featured a medley of activities such as volleyball, football, segway rides, SUP boarding, and engaging team-building tasks.

A beachside BBQ lunch was followed by an afternoon Yachting Regatta. Ten sailing teams set sail from Jurmala to Riga, cruising along the scenic Lielupe river and the Gulf of Riga.

Back in Riga, the group were treated to a gala dinner hosted in a private restaurant hall at the impressive Whitehouse restaurant with its charming park view and terrace. The night concluded with more merrymaking at a nightclub.

Day 4: Actively Exploring Riga’s Charms

The final day was dedicated to active exploration. The group engaged in a thrilling Pan Car Rally, a city orienteering game that led them through Riga’s main sights and concealed locations in quirky Fiat cars. They also visited the trendy Agenskalna market to sample Birch sap, Latvia’s most unique drink.

An immersive Graffiti Workshop tapped into the team’s artistic side before a lunch feast at the Old Town restaurant “3 Chefs”, offering creative modern Latvian cuisine in a cozy setting.

The trip was a whirlwind of adventure, laughter and shared experiences and the group left with newfound team spirit.
